Where is the outrage?

With all the bleak news coming out of Iraq and Washington D.C. suffering from severe cognitive dissonace, sometimes we forget to think about the important things. And when I say "important" what I mean by that is "one of the few things that give men the will to live." Once again the dark puritan spirit that lives just beneath the surface of our teetering-on-the-edge-of- ruin-society has infiltrated the natural realm with the intention of sucking the joy out of life and spitting it into our faces. It is shocking and simply unacceptable reports like these that test one's stamina and resolve in the face of a merciless enemy who "hate our freedoms." What a sad day it is when we must go to Canadian newspapers to disover the creeping oppression taking place in our own country. I, for one, refuse to let the children of the world grow into a future where the things we hold so dear are the victims of ruthless smear campaigns and Victorian age repression. As the Latins use to say -- In păpilla veritas. (The Latins! -- I slay me!).
