ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The U.S. military is on the offensive in the War on Terror (search) to prevent terrorists from reaching America's shores, President Bush said Friday, adding that 20 years from now, historians will look back on the Iraq war as "America's golden moment."
This is just disgusting. How can ANYONE see this time in history at "America's GOlden Moment"?
He does realize that there are far MORE terrorists in Iraq NOW than there was before we invaded?
History will remember him as the Great Con Artist.

History will hold its nose and remember him as a lot worse than that.
I wish you two were right. Somehow I doubt it though. Wasn't that old president...Ronald something-or-another...wasn't he quite a piece of work on foreign policy and invasions and the like? Yet when he died all the memories were of his great leadership. History books are written and rewritten, always by the leading elite who manage to turn facts into bullshit created by the left.
I grew up in Quebec, going to an English school in the Protestant school baord. I had francophone friends in the Catholic school board. I can tell you, the Canadian history books we studied in English were not telling the same history of Canada as the French history books. And these two versions of history were able to live together in the SAME SCHOOL BUILDING. Why?
I assume because people believe the version of history they want to believe. And in a decade, once normalcy and common sense return to your White House, I suspect most Americans will be happier to believe the white wash than to feel they were complicit in the crimes that took place under the Bush government. I hope I'm wrong, but history has a tendency to downplay the bad and emphasize the good.
