The Iran-A-Lyin Begins.

Now we must remember that Iran did indeed ELECT their officials...

But apparantly there is no freedom...

What does Condi Say... ? We can give them $75 million bucks! You know to aid people who don't freedom... to like vote and stuff....

wait they do vote.

Rice tried to take the offensive by announcing an administration request for $75 million this year to build democracy in Iran, saying the U.S. must support Iranians who are seeking freedoms under what she called a radical regime.

I want $75 million for freedom under a radical regime.

That oughta do it! One coup for the low low price of $75 million bucks... and then what?

Judging from the past experiences of throwing cash at the middle east, I have come to one conclusion.

Yup, they will eventually be used that money to attack us.

Well actually seems to me like we'll throw the money at them the way we did with Fatah, and when the election doesn't go our way, we'll throw more money away trying to ouster the regime, attack the regime, or whatever.

You know this would be much simpler if we just shipped them 10,000 or so Diebold voting machines. "Sons of the Prophet! Arnold Schwarzenegger has been elected Mullah!"

Well the probelm is not to throw a coup.

Sure we need to keep them in check, but we cant start a coup because so many Middle Easterners hate Bush that they are voting for the people who will stand up against him

Carter made peace in the Middle East.
Clinton made peace in Ireland.

All we have now a some cry baby who can put creative reasoning skills to work.. as he has bnever had to use them... and there is no one saying.. "Maybe there is a better way of doing this?"

Pres Carter did achieve something that had NEVER been done: He was able to get the first peace treaty between Israel and one of its Arab neighbors, as well as a framework for further progress toward peace in the Middle East... but I guess that does count for nothing since zero nations were bombed or pre-emptively invaded.

The mess started on Carter's watch so therefore it is owned exclusively by Carter?

Hmm... seems to me that William J. Daugherty's works about this topic points the finger clearly at others besides Pres Carter.

Chiefly faulted: "Particularly intense were National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, banking magnate David Rockefeller, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and the esteemed elder statesman John J. McCloy, a coterie which Brzezinski labeled "influential friends of the shah."

Ehh, but what does Daugherty know? He was only 1 of the hostages who spent 444 days in Tehran.

Also it factor for the nobel peace prize he won.

"for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development"
